Nicolas Jaar. Ein gnadenlos begabter DJ und Produzent. Er gehört zu unseren liebsten Musikern. Nun hat Senor Jaar sich zurückgemeldet: Er bastelt an einem eigenen Online Radio Netzwerk und teasert einen neuen Release an. Wir hoffen natürlich auf ein Album seinerseits, dass an die Sensation von Space is Only Noise anknüpfen kann. Das sind die Neuigkeiten vom grenzgenialen OtherPeople-Labelchef und Initiator des hörenswerten Bandprojekts DARKSIDE:

The Network

Jaar stellt aus kostengründen seinen Streamingdienst vom Label Other People ein und baut ein neues Online Radio Netzwerk aus. Die neue Website fordert die Nutzer dazu auf einen Kanal zwischen 0 und 333 zu wählen. Jede eingegeben Station hat ihr eigenes Artwork und streamt dann Noise, Electronica und Experimentelle Musik. Nicolas Jaar empfiehlt mit den Kanälen 324, 195, 108, 243, 225, 33 zu beginnen und mit Kanal 333 zu enden. Was auch immer das heißen mag, wir finden es vielleicht heraus. Jedenfalls ewartet einen spannende Musik rund um sein Label Other People.

Neues Album?

Jaar hat über seine Social-Media-Kanäle Bilder verbreitet, die möglicherweise das Cover seines kommenden Releases Sirens darstellen. Gesicherte Informationen gibt es noch nicht, aber wir freuen uns schon!

In einem veröffentlichten äußert sich Nicolas folgendermaßen:

As some of you may have noticed, we have stopped our monthly subscription.

There are two reasons behind this decision. First of all, I will be playing live again and unable to be fully present on a week to week basis. But it’s also a financial decision: every release was a labour of love, and I took up DJing the last couple of years in part to finance the label.

We will now concentrate on a much smaller batch of yearly releases starting in 2017.

Until then, the site will mutate into www.other-people.network (Chrome preferred)

I will let you guys discover what this is on your own but all I’ll say is that channels 324, 195, 108, 243, 225, 33 would be good places to start..

And channel 333 will be a good place to end. 🙂
